Oct, 2013: The family-oriented El Pescador Resort is nestled amid lush palm trees on one of the most beautiful beaches on Ambergris Cay. It’s the perfect choice for those seeking a fishing lodge with comfortable accommodations. In addition, there is a multitude of activities for nonfishing guests, including scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, cave tubing, zip-lining, tours of the Mayan ruins, and many other attractions on both Ambergris Cay and the Belize mainland. Guests can enjoy air-conditioned lodge rooms or upgrade to one of the lovely, private beachfront villas. The resort offers a relaxed atmosphere and a warm, friendly and attentive staff.

El Pescador has made some improvements over the last two years and guests are enjoying their stay at the resort even more!

  • New screened-in porch near the bar / lounge area;
  • New outdoor furniture throughout;
  • Expanded pool deck;
  • Bonefish Island Overnight Camping Expeditions;
  • First lodge in Belize to have a guide earn FFF Certified Casting Instructor status.
  • Five of their fishing guides are now certified, and it is moving forward with its plan to have the entire guide team certified.

Anglers enjoy casting from the bow of stable and comfortable pangas with experienced English-speaking guides at the helm. With 400 square miles of flats and reefs surrounding Ambergris Cay, there’s no shortage of resources for pursuing favorite quarry; plenty of resident bonefish, permit, and baby tarpon are available on a year-round basis, along with a variety of other species on the reef and in the blue water beyond. Looking for the larger tarpon? Plan to visit between June and September.

A seven-night / six-day fishing package is $3,755 per person based on double occupancy and shared guide. Shorter and longer packages, as well as nonfishing and diving packages, are also available. Frontiers can customize a plan that best suits your travel and fishing interests.
