Autumn in the American West: A Perfect Time for Navigating Montana’s Rivers (Part 2)
Oct, 2013: The Big Hole River continues to be one of my favorites in the West. We had great fishing on the river. On beautiful October days, the brown trout are the primary target and aggressively take nymphs, streamers and we had a few looking on top too. It’s hard to watch the end of the fly line with the spectacular scenery all around the fishermen. We spent time with Craig Fellin, owner of Big Hole Lodge and had a very pleasant day in the Big Hole Valley. Off to the Missouri tomorrow.
