Dec, 2013: Nearly 24 hours after departing Pittsburgh, Ben Hoffman and I landed in the central region of Chile. We’re spending a week visiting the Coyhaique region to check out some new water and visiting old friends. Our first stop on your week-long trip is the Coyhaique River Lodge.

Located on the banks of the Coyhaique River, this incredible eight room lodge is perched high on a bluff. Each room offers sweeping views of the expansive valley and endless mountains in the distance. The photo above is my “room with a view.” Seriously, this is out my window! I feel like I’m home again in Idaho

Anticipation for tomorrow’s fishing is high and we’re looking forward to seeing what the rivers will provide us.
